Primaruna

Runa are 'runes' or 'secret concepts'. In Zartianism most Runa have names derived from Persian or Greek words.

The Primaruna are the 'first secrets' of Zartianism. In other words they are our primary framework of concepts that we use to create a mental scaffold to help us make sense of reality.

Yazdan

Yazdan is 'God'. Yazdan is by definition what is worthy of worship - i.e. what is worth our time and energies in paying attention to. Zartians don't have a single dogmatic definition of what God is. However we recommend the formula of 'the four names of God' which are: Hat (the Real) , Khoda (the Sovereign), Arche (the Source) and Agathon (the Good).

Anghotria

The Anghotria are three fundamentals of existence. These are:

1. Zurvan - the expanse of time and space which underlies the living existence.
2. Atmanus - the living spirit which inhabits Zurvan.
3. Agathia - 'Goodness' as a quality of existence which can be estimated on a scale from very Bad to very Good.

Trikartar

The Trikartar or 'three doers' are three ways of understanding the process of activity within Zurvan.

1. Tuketa - 'the Tyke' is the ultimate decider of what comes to pass. Tuketa is a 'built-in feature' of Zurvan. Tuketa responds to Pella or 'pushes' from multiple sources and produce a definitive judgement of Tuka or 'happenings'.

2. Vaius - 'the blower' is the being that produces Pella (impulses to movement). Vaius is generated by Asus the living spirit.

3. Auramazda - the wise one - is the being that pushes for actions which create good order and build up living systems.

Auramazda has an inter-relationship with Vaius. But while Auramazda always takes righteous action by definition, Vaius can be an influence for either good or bad.

Spentatria (or Trinitas)

1. Auramazda - the wise lord
2. Chrestor Divinus or Chrestus- the useful agent of the wise lord and servant of life
3. Spentaman - the Holy (or Life-expanding) Spirit

Thaliotria

3. Thalia is 'flourishing' it is regarded as the best form of human life. Thalia can be a state of an individual, but also of a community, for a state of flourishing often depends on a good mutual interaction between many people who 'flourish together'.

Arta is 'rightness' - it is a state of right-relationship between different aspects of life, between people's actions and people's needs, between their actions and the nature of the situation they are acting upon, and betwen their thoughts about reality and reality itself. Arta is regarded as a precondition of Thalia.

1. Auramazda is 'active wisdom' - the wise being which produces Arta and hence Thalia.

Runa

Runa or runes are important concepts that are useful in our thinking.

Thalia is Flourishing.

Artista (or Arta Thalica) is the (Ideal) Righteous Order or Righteous Progression of the world - a process where the actions of each fit harmoniously with the actions of others and the pre-existing nature of things. We believe it is the key requirement for a world which is congenial to life.

Dreg is deviation from the Good. Dolus is deception, trickery, fakery.

Magtas is mightiness, potency, capability. Chresis (or Kresis) is usefulness or goodness in one's actions.

Amerta

Amerta are immortal beings - i.e. spirit-processes which are abstractly defined and hence don't live and die like mortal beings.

Amerta Anotera

The Amerta Anotera are a class of immortal beings which are 'higher', or 'more abstract' than others. They are the class of beings that the historic teacher Zartus (Zoroaster) taught about in his composition the 'Songs of Zarathustra'.

They are divided into Amerta Spenta and Amerta Angra which are Good and Bad beings respectively. Zartians promote a list of 12 Spenta and 12 Angra. Important among them are Eunoia and Akonoia, which are 'Good Thinking' and 'Bad Thinking'.

Amerta Diva

The Amerta Diva are a second class of immortal beings. Diva are 'lower' than the 'Anotera' , which means their character is closer to that of living beings. In other words Diva are anthropomorphic deities, immortal beings pictured in human form and sharing some human characteristics. Mithras is at the head of the Amerta Diva.

N.B. The Amerta Diva are not a core part of Zartian Mazdaism proper, but rather are more central to Zartian Mithraism.
