Mithraism as a religion

Mithraism is about developing a new identity. In a way it is about finding your true identity in the world. Most of us have been brought up with a false or at least limited sense of what the world is, how it works, and what is our place within it. Mithraism as a religious practice seeks to bring us into realization of our true identity, and to mentally orientate us into where we really are and hence to prepare us to act upon the world is the best and most effective way.
