ZorochristiansZorochristians are best described as Christian gnostics. They consider that Zoroaster was the founding father of Christianity, but that Jesus was an important demonstrator of what it means to be the ideal man. They consider Jesus exceptional in both his direct concern for others he met, and for his deep knowledge of the nature of existence, which he tried to teach to those few who were receptive to it.Zorochristians normally consider Jesus to be a historical person, but that he was an earthly embodiment of the divine Sarus, the personality of God which hears and responds to human need. Zorochristians consider that Jesus' voluntary suffering on the cross should be seen as a demonstration of the love of the divine Sarus who is willing to suffer for the sake of others, paying the price for the wrong actions that they have taken, so that they themselves do not have to suffer the bad consequences of their wrongdoing and can make a fresh start in life. However we do not think that the historical Jesus paid for everybody's sins for ever. Rather it is necessary for Sarus to continually re-incarnate in the world and to make fresh sacrifices to save the new generations from the consequences of their sins. This might only fully worth doing if the sinners see the error of their ways and do better in future. If saving people from the consequences of their actions means that they never learn to change course then in some cases it is best not to do so. While 'gnostic' is the easiest term to describe what we are, we don't necessarily do all the things associated with the term gnostic in the modern mind. In particular we share with other Zartians a healthy respect for the material world as well as the ideal or divine world, and don't see escaping from the material world as the complete and final answer to the problems of existence.
